A screen used as a shading solution at the Toulouse Exhibition Centre.
The installation that Multivision Screens carried out in Toulouse during the summer of 2020 is a perfect example of the versatility of the nolimit screen. It was not used as a projection screen, but rather as a shading solution. The Toulouse Exhibition Centre (PEX) wanted to reduce the amount of outside light in the space. To achieve this, a highly blackout fabric was installed to allow a minimum amount of light into the room. The fabric, made up of 3 parts, was nevertheless perforated to create a kind of shading in the space.
The installation method proved more complex than usual, due to the difficulty of accessing the fixing wall. A cherry picker had to be used because the fabric had to be embedded in the ceiling, which was 18m high. Another challenge was added during the installation: the weather. The installation took place in the middle of summer, in the middle of a heatwave, and the space in which the screen was installed exceeded reasonable installation conditions. The success of the project can be attributed to the Multivision Screens installation team, who were extremely efficient in carrying out the project, successfully overcoming the unforeseen challenges that arose along the way.
