Optimize Your Experience: Choosing the Right Screen

In the world of audiovisual, attention is generally focused more on the quality of the projector than on the quality of the projection surface. However, the latter plays a vital role in achieving optimal projection in terms of image, contrast and sharpness.

When choosing to use quality equipment, it becomes imperative to choose a screen that is adapted to the needs. Indeed, each environment requires a specific installation, a specific screen and a corresponding aesthetic. On the market, there is a diversity of projection screens, ranging from small transportable screens to giant motorized screens, including screens stretched on a frame.

 Roll-up screens

Roll-up screens are modular and offer flexibility of use. They are used in a variety of locations and can take variable measurements between 1.80m and 100m wide.

The advantage of this type of screen is its ability to be hidden away from the projection. When not in use, the screen rolls up on itself. The options for integration into false ceilings also allow the screen to be completely retracted to respect the aesthetics of the space. Their robust design and ability to retract when not in use make these screens an ideal choice for versatile applications and for those looking to integrate a projection screen discreetly.

On the one hand, medium-sized roll-up screens, less than 10m wide, prove to be clever solutions for spaces such as performance halls, conference rooms or meeting rooms. They are easily integrated and can be placed in front of a window, in the middle of a room or in front of a wall.

On the other hand, large roll-up screens, over 10m wide, are specially designed for larger spaces, such as concert halls, convention centers or stadiums. These screens, more suited to the needs of large groups of spectators, offer optimal visibility and an immersive visual experience.

 Fixed screens

Fixed screens, mostly stretched on frames or integrated into self-supporting systems, are solutions that are perfectly suited to spaces dedicated to projection, such as cinemas or for other uses such as simulators. These screens can take measurements ranging from 2m to 100m wide. The advantage of this type of screen is that the screen remains fixed and ensures optimal image quality thanks to its canvas that remains perfectly flat, stretched on all four sides.

 Portable screens

The transportable screens, measuring up to 9m wide, are the allies of nomadic service providers, temporary installations and one-off events. Their portability makes them ideal and of valuable flexibility in contexts where mobility is essential.

 Making the right choice

Whether you are setting up a home cinema, a conference room or an auditorium, the importance of the projection surface should never be overlooked. By making the right choice of screen, you ensure a breathtaking visual experience and maximize the potential of your audiovisual projection system.
